Misleading Unclaimed Money Sites

The United States government site, as of this writing links to which links to
The Indiana State Government site, currently has its own system. You may want to check with different states.

Good luck getting to the point where you can get results at They ask you a bunch of questions that have nothing to do with getting results before they deliver, if they deliver... I never got that far.

I inserted my name into a set of fields at and got a wait bar that said unlocking millions of records. Then I got a wait bar that started counting down from about 42 seconds. Then I started typing this paragraph. Then it wants you to sign up for an account. I didn't.

Wait... Just scrolled down their page a bit more. They offer a 100% money back guarantee. Mighty generous of them considering they haven't asked me for any money yet, but where there's a money back guarantee, there's money out!

Other Earnings Sites #3
Well, by now you may be wondering where I found such shining examples for Other Earning Sites #1 and #2. I found them through which a helpful autocomplete entry offered to do a search I recommend signing up for Microsoft's free rewards program and making Bing your main search engine and doing searches that earn you points towards gift cards. Again, Microsoft isn't asking for your money, unlike these other sites. posits the question: "Is legit and trustworthy ?"
It gives a 90% score. I suppose if you don't want malware, it is safe on that account, but if you want actual job/employment leads, I suggest you go elsewhere.

Other Earnings Sites #2 (
"Here's an illustration of how much money you can make in just a few different scenarios:"
Yes well, any picture can be called an illustration, but that is a picture of a form and does not fully flesh out a situation well enough that I could seriously call it a "scenario"
Calls itself "certified".
I suppose self-certification is technically certification.

New links and offers are added to your account nearly every month so you always have plenty of new opportunities to make money. Here's an illustration:
Yes, again, a picture can be called an illustration, but that is not an illustration of a ling, an account, a month, or an opportunity to make money.

More so, it couldn't be easier to get started because... this certification program is backed by a 100%... 60 Day... 'Make Money Or It's Free' ... Satisfaction Guarantee!
So here is where they begin to tell you that you'll be sending them money. Of course they want it up front and not at the end of the 60 days. $49

Oh, I clicked on the tab for this blog post and up popped a thing saying they'd knock an additional $10 off, so if you really want to go that route, attempt to click away and save the $10. Who knows what will get charged to your card, though. Be prepared to cancel it.

Other earnings siites #1 ( claims that if you watch their video they will pay you $500.. Then they yank it away and say you have to pay them $97 for "Web Hosting" they claim would "Regularly" cost $397. If you buy this hosting and don't make more than $500, then and only then do you get $500. So, $403, then. The video says that he doesn't want to work with "lazy people", and yet the advertising is tailor made to appeal to lazy people. "The software does all the work!" it claims. Yeah, forget that. I think I will stick to my blogs with Google ads that don't pay out much as of yet, but involve the real work of actually writing something and doesn't cost me a thing. And I'm learning how to make YouTube videos, so eventually a little bit of income will be coming in that way as well. And all for free.

VIP Voice

VIP Voice's My Daily Digest is broken and when I go to Contact Us, it says a help desk should open. Pop ups aren't disabled, but no help desk pops up. There appears to be no other way to contact them.
